Temper Tantrums are an Evil Monster

So temper tantrums, kind of like sugar. You know, you get a temporary high because you’re like, “well, screw you!” You get all of the incredible amounts of adrenaline shooting through your body, but, the crash is brutal.

I’ll tell you right now, give up the temper tantrums. Let that go and instead go into appreciation and seek to understand. Align with people and recognize that everyone is doing the best they can. See, the key for you is to know that you’re reacting, and if you can spot the reactions, you can do something about it. If you don’t spot the reactions, you can’t do anything about it.

You know, it’s too late once you’re already down the path of becoming an evil monster. You’ve got to be able to catch it before that autopilot takes over. That takes practice. That takes awareness. I’m looking forward to supporting you in some of that.

Give Up Your Temper Tantrum Addiction

Alright, let’s be honest. When you throw a temper tantrum, really what you’re trying to do is subvert responsibility so you don’t have to be responsible for your reaction in the moment.

When you throw a temper tantrum, you’re trying to divert things away. Or you’re trying to dominate or control or manipulate that person. It doesn’t work. So why do you keep doing it? Why do you keep letting the 2-year-old run your life? Has it ever occurred to you that a 2-year-old is running the show?
