What is Your Essence?

You are about to discover that you are powerful right now. This journey is about letting go of force. There is nothing for you to do.

With each piece of resistance you let go of, ANYTHING and we mean ANYTHING, you desire, will occur with ease and joy. You will feel like your dreams and goals are just happening to you. It will seem like you are doing nothing and having it all occur naturally…worth playing for? Yes it is!

There is nothing for you to do. Can you be a at peace in advance? Before you have all of the components of a dream life in place?

The dictionary defines being as one’s basic or essential nature; personality. What is your essential nature? How would you describe the core of your being, right now?

Are you skeptical, open, neutral, optimistic, fun, demanding, peaceful, aggressive, cautious, available, joyous, worried, intense, loving, kind, good hearted, serious, determined, or outrageous? If we look at the core of who you are being, your essence…what word describes you? It doesn’t have to be from our list. It could be anything you choose.

The word that I feel describes the core of my being or my essence is: ______________

Now, here’s the tough question. What is at the core of your essence? For example, if you said the core of your being is “determined”, then what is underneath determined? What are you trying to accomplish by being determined? What is your motive to be determined? What will being determined do for you?

Take a couple seconds, right now and think about your word. What will being ____ do for you?

Let’s go back to the example of being determined. If you really got honest about being determined you would see that it’s about getting somewhere or doing something. Being determined comes from thinking that the world must be manipulated to get what you want. It’s about doing. It comes from the fear based conversation “What I want might not happen, so I must get in action to insure it!”

I have a good buddy named Bob who owns a ground-breaking technology company. When we were discussing the growth process that Bob and his company have been going through we noticed, right away, that it was struggle, effort, frustration, he was pissed off and suffering. Bob said his essence is Perseverance. When we look at Perseverance, that’s an action word, not a being word. Perseverance is a lot like “determined.”

This is a survival conversation generated by a fear that if you don’t get in action, something bad will happen and you won’t survive. Your mind tells you that you aren’t going to survive unless you do something to get somewhere. All doing is survival in disguise.

The Energy of Force vs. The Energy of Inspiration

The energy generated from fear, stress and upset is the energy of force. Force takes incredible amounts of energy to exert and therefore it does not have lasting power and it drains you of your own life force.

The problem is that most everyone was conditioned with force. Get to school on time or you will get into trouble. You must do your homework or you can’t go to the movie. Get to work so you can pay your rent. Get to the gym or you will become a blob.

Force is exerted in response to a resistance. Yet, you will discover that resistance only resides inside of you. Nothing, out there, in the world, is resisting. With this realization, it becomes clear that you have a choice. Submit to force or mobilize power…you choose. The dictionary defines force as power made operative against resistance – exertion. The joke is on you! The resistance that you are pushing against doesn’t even exist in the real world. It’s all inside of you, which means you are pushing against yourself.

We spend hours, days and wasted moments believing that we can change by forcing ourselves to adapt to some external force. We get unhappy about our money or our home or our car or our relationship. This fear, uncertainty and angry resentment about life is not getting you where you want to go. It only digs you in deeper.

When you are being upset that you are overweight, there is no resistance to you achieving your desired body weight. In other words, nothing is actually stopping you from being the body weight you want. The resistance that you experience is your own perspective on the situation. It’s your expectation about what it will take to remedy the situation. The upset (resistance) is a projection your mind is creating about the future and what it will take to lose weight. Without even trying, your mind accesses the past, thinks about how much suffering weight loss has been in the past, and projects that on to the future. This is just one source of your upset, which engages force, creates motivation, exerts energy and quickly lapses right back to where you started. I don’t have to tell you, force is not sustainable.

Life can be another way. You were attracted to these learnings because you were interested in ease, joy and effortlessness. You want to align yourself with power. Look at the dictionary definition of power and you will see why it leads to ease, effortlessness and results. Power is defined as the ability or capacity to perform or act effectively. When you powerfully pursue of your desired weight, you will naturally do what it takes to lose weight. It will feel effortless. That’s when you know you are utilizing the energy of power. Power is completely different from force.

Power is about getting into alignment with where you are going, and allowing things to flow from the universe through you into your results. Bam. How to Change your Life for the Positive Now

As a life coach, it is my job to help people move from negative states to positive states. Now, life is not necessarily negative at all; it’s just our opinion that makes life negative. To change your life for the positive now, one of the first things that you must take into account, is that you have created opinions about how life shouldn’t be this way, and that opinion then creates a negative state for you.

You feel frustrated, you feel annoyed, you feel agitated, upset, angry. These are all negative states that occur when your opinion is contradicted.

To change your life for the positive right now, you must begin to take responsibility for the opinion that you have created about life and how life shouldn’t be the way that it is, that it should be some other way.

Now, let’s be honest. Life should not be some other way. Life is the way it is. People are the way they are, and then you resist them. Your resistance makes you upset, angry, and then rather than taking responsibility for that your opinion has been contradicted, you instead blame the other person.

When you blame the other person, you create even more negativity in your life. On top of that, you make a fatal mistake, and that mistake is that you declare that life or people, or something outside of you makes you feel negative or upset.

This is not the truth. It is an illusion, and really, it’s a manipulation. You’re the one who chooses to feel bad. You’re the one who chooses to feel upset. To take responsibility for it will change your life for the positive right now.

How Inspired Action Life Coaching Leads to Bliss

As an inspired Action Life Coach, my job is to support my clients in living a life of happiness, joy, peace, and most importantly, bliss. The dictionary defines bliss as, supreme happiness. Most people don’t have an experience with bliss. Most people don’t know what bliss even is.

1. It is that state of loving life so deeply, so turned on, so much about life, that you can hardly stand it. You are nearly brought to tears of joy by how amazing your experience of life is in that moment.

2. This is what happens when you follow the inspired action life coaching process.

There are three phases that I recommend you go through to get to this place of extreme bliss:

A. Phase One is the Breakthrough Phase. In this phase your job is to explore what did you conclude about your life that is not true early on, that is now holding you hostage, and having you experience your life in ways that cause frustration, anger, suffering, pain, etc. In other words, what did you fundamentally misperceive about yourself, others, and situations, that now make life feel like it is not enough, and you are not there yet?

aa. By discovering this and seeing it for what it really is, a mistake, a misperception, you are able to let it go and create a new context for your life. That new context is really what Phase Two is all about.

B. Phase Two is the Life Creation Phase. In the Life Creation Phase, you must begin to examine how your life is designed out of guilt and obligation. You start to see that your life is really nothing more than trying to prove to everyone that you are good enough, that you fit in, that you are smart and intelligent, that you are not ugly, that you are a part of the group. As you begin to see these pursuits for what they really are, nothing more than trying to prove a childhood misperception doesn’t exist, and you let them go, in favor of doing the things that make you feel good and feel happy now, you start to have a realization as to what your life is actually about. You begin to recognize what your purpose is, where you are going, and why you are going there.

bb. You begin to enter into inspired action. You find yourself in action doing the things that you love doing, no longer doing the things that come from guilt and obligation, and trying to prove to the world that you are something or somebody, which leads you to Phase Three in the inspired action coaching process.

C. In Phase Three you now have to set your life up so that it can begin to relate to you as this new person. Disciplines, structures, systems, procedures, processes, new promises, new accountabilities. All of these things must be put into place so that your life recognizes the new you, and asks that the new you show up rather than the old you. This is why when you go to a seminar or read a book and learn something new, that new thing that you have learned doesn’t stand much of a chance of actually existing in your life, because your life actually responds to you from the old paradigm of who you were before you read that book, or who you were before you went to that seminar.

D. The Third Phase of the inspired action coaching process is absolutely one of the most important phases because it cements your purpose into your life so that you can do nothing else than be your purpose in your life. What a blessing to have a life that calls you every morning to be the person that you want to be. That right there leads to incredible bliss. You literally are moved to tears on a daily basis, blown away that your life is so perfectly fit for what it is that you want to do, what you want to experience, and who you want to be.

7 Strategies to Get Inspired Today

Most people are not inspired and in action on their dreams.  Have you ever heard yourself saying “Some day… when I have X… then I’ll be happy and satisfied.”

There is no “some day,” and living from “some day” will kill your inspiration and your dreams.  That’s why I would like to share seven critical strategies designed to get you inspired and in action today!

Are you ready to have a life filled with anticipation, excitement, joy and outstanding results?  Good, then let’s get started.

Get Inspired Strategy #1: Write a one-year prophecy letter.  It’s time to get out of the past, stop trying to fix yourself, stop fretting over what you are going to do to have more success and happiness.  Stop looking at what didn’t work and start prophesying about your future.  You become what you think about.  Let’s get your mind focused on what you want and off what isn’t working. Write a letter as though you had achieved everything you wanted to achieve, dated one year from today.

Get Inspired Strategy #2: Count your blessings each day.  This is essential for explosive growth. The universe is happy to provide for you, as long as you are happy about what you already have.  If you are dissatisfied with your current situation, that energy muddles up your intentions.  The more dissatisfied you are, the more you receive that which dissatisfies you.  Make a list of 10 things you love about your life.

Get Inspired Strategy #3: The 10-10 Visualization Exercise.  Starting with your list of the 10 things you are grateful about today, create a second list of 10 things you want to experience or achieve. Take deep breaths and go into a state of relaxation. Now that you are in a very powerful, conscious state, mentally review your list of everything you are grateful for.  Dwell on each item.  Get really connected with how great it is to have this in your life.  Let the emotions of gratitude well up inside of you and overflow.  It’s okay to cry tears of joy.  In fact, that’s the objective.  Then do the same with your list of goals and dreams.

Get Inspired Strategy #4: Write your intentions every day. What do you want in your life? Get clear, ask, write your intentions.

Get Inspired Strategy #5: Get clarity about what you want. Know what you are seeking. The moment you get clear, the perfect people, situations and opportunities appear.

Get Inspired Strategy #6: If you feel stuck. Make a list of 3-5 aspects of your life that are working. Spend time thinking about those aspects of your life.  What you focus on expands and that will inspire you.

Get Inspired Strategy #7: When you don’t know what to do to get the energy moving in your life, play The Perfect Game. Whatever is offered, take it.  Whatever is suggested, do it.  Whatever happens, declare it perfect. Allow the universe to guide you to the perfect situations that will inspiring you to take new action and accomplish more.

Look at the Perfection in All That Is Wrong in Your Life

Every time something goes “wrong” in your life, ultimately you benefit from it.  If you are reading this article, you are the type of person who seems to “get by” no matter what happens.  Start looking back on all the things that have ever gone wrong and notice how you benefited from those situations.  Think of a recent situation that went wrong but ultimately you benefited from.  “Science of Success” founder Napoleon Hill says, “If you were diligent about it, you could find the seed of equivalent benefit in every adversity.”  Start getting excited about your problems, crises, and disasters. Without these contrasting moments, you wouldn’t know how good you have it most of the time.  If everything were always a bowl of cherries, you wouldn’t know you had it good.  You must have dark in order to know light.  You must have wrong in order to know right.  (Sounds like a good song lyric to me!

Every time something happens that isn’t what you expected, start saying “Thank you, universe, for sending me this contrasting moment.  I needed this to know how good I have it most of the time.”  Start declaring everything “perfect.”  Your boss tells you that your commission rate is being lowered.  You say “Perfect,” then, make up a reason why: “I’ve been wondering how I was going to go to the next level and make more sales.”  A prospect you’ve been counting on to close suddenly decides to not buy.  You say, “Perfect!”  Then make something up like, “I was getting too attached to that deal closing and it was making me feel off-kilter and out of balance.  Now, I can get back to feeling good.  I know the universe will always provide for me.”  Say that last part out loud and notice how true it feels:  “I know the universe will always provide for me.”

Choosing to focus on what works is rebellious.  People will think you are being a “Pollyanna,” and you know what?  You are!  A Pollyanna makes people feel good and feeling good causes people to lower their guard.  When people lower their guard they will see that you are there to help.  When people see that you are there to help, anything becomes possible.
