Work is not hard. Hard work is a myth. Now, work might be difficult. You might not understand how to do it. It might take more effort than you’re used to exuding, but the actual work is not hard.
What makes work hard is that you resist it. If you want to experience inspiration and joy in the process of achieving your goals and dreams, then you need to let go of resisting your work and just know that what you are doing is part of the process. Everything is part of the process; the tough part and the hard parts.
That’s just part of the process. Is work hard? No. It’s only hard when you resist it. What if you began to get joy out of the hard parts? Then it would no longer be hard work, would it? So, hard work ultimately is just an opinion that you have about the work that you’re doing. If you’re committed, like I am, to experiencing joy and peace and love and exuberance and enthusiasm while at work, then choose to resist nothing.

The best way to combat daily stress is awareness. You must become aware of the source of stress. When you see it for what it is, you naturally relax. Stress is a chemical response to potential danger. The biggest problem you are faced with is that your life is not actually dangerous. Especially if you are seeking to mentally, spiritually or emotionally improve your life, you are actually a person who is in search of “really living” and not surviving. People who are in actual survival have no thoughts like, “How do I get rid of this stress?” People who are in actual danger are consumed by the survival state and stress becomes a very important tool for escaping death. YOU on the other hand have been duped by your psychology!
Here are a couple of ideas to help you see stress for what it really is… False Evidence Appearing Real (Fear).
1. Stress comes from the resistance to a future you hallucinate is coming. The Drunk Monkey (my nickname for the talking in your head) believes that it is psychic and can predict the future. The problem is The Drunk \Monkey is really just a survival mechanism. It only searches for potentially negative futures so that it can maneuver the body away from them. You can not count on your thinking to find potentially positive futures. Those visions only come in moments of inspiration which is why they are so powerful and often awe inspiring.
2. Stress comes from the resistance to how life actually is. The Drunk Monkey is trying to keep you safe so it seeks people and situations that are similar. Anything new, different, unexpected creates stress. What is unknown is potentially dangerous so the body releases stress chemicals.
When you see that your mind is not your friend and not even on your side, then you will start to ignore it. That will be one of the most relaxed days of your life!

A great Gratitude Exercise is what I call gratitude, intention and delegation. Every day I have a group of people that I do this with. Every day I will write out what I’m grateful for: I am grateful for my family, I’m grateful for my kids, I’m grateful for my customers. I just start to write out everything that I’m grateful for. Then my intentions are more about how what I want to feel and what I want to experience that day. That’s how I define intentions in this exercise, so I intend to feel creative. I intend to be inspired. I intend to be empowering.
It’s feeling, being, experiencing states and then delegations. A lot of times the things that I want are a little beyond what I know how to create, so what I do is I use a method that I learned from Jerry and Esther Hicks. I delegate them to the universe. I say, “I’m so thankful to the universe for providing me with three opportunities this month to make $50,000 dollars or something better.” I always add “or something better” at the very end, so gratitude, intention and delegation. Me, personally, I like to do it with a group and have a structure where everybody’s sending it to each other. It is much more powerful.
You’re going to find that practicing gratitude is going to make a huge difference. There is one last thing that will make a huge difference in your world. As you’re walking around throughout your day, spend time appreciating the beauty of everything around you. Just that state of appreciating beauty will put you into an incredible state. Try these techniques: gratitude, delegating, and appreciating beauty. They will make a profound difference in your life.

How can you shape your own destiny? Well, the answer is very simple. Practice gratitude. The rule is you become what you think about. So, if you’re focused on what is working in your life, then more of that is going to come into your life. You need to focus on what you like, what is right, what is working, who loves you. Basically, think about what makes you happy and what makes you feel grateful! If you think about these things, more of those things will come into your life. So your future becomes more and more what you like about your life.
Now let’s look at the other side of it. The drunk monkey in your head is doing all of that talking and all of that thinking. The drunk monkey is focused on what is not working, what you need to be afraid of and what you need to avoid. When you allow the drunk monkey to focus on all that stuff, it attracts more of it into your life. It’s attracting more of what you don’t want, so your life becomes progressively more difficult to deal with. What gratitude does is it literally turns your life in a direction that is more of what you want. It will shape your destiny in ways that you can’t even imagine. Your life is gonna become progressively more joyous as you are practicing gratitude.

A great way to boost your confidence it is to be grateful. It can help big time. What being grateful does is that it gets you focus in on the truth, and the truth will set you free. The truth is life-giving and it will bolster your energy. What is false will actually bring you down, and for most people, we don’t actually know that our mind, the drunk monkey, is really focused on what is false. So the drunk money is constantly looking at what doesn’t work; what it doesn’t like; what is wrong with you; what’s wrong with other people, and it’s doing this tactically as a survival mechanism.
The mind’s job is to help you stay alive longer, so pointing out ways that you’re no good, the mind feels, “Well, that’s a great way to get you to start focusing on ways to get better.” But it doesn’t work like that. You become what you think about, so what you want to do is you want to spend time focusing on what works; what you like; what you’re excited about; what you’re happy about; what feels good. Having that mindset actually brings life to you; brings energy. Your confidence will soar. Your self esteem will rise because you’re aligning yourself with the energy of truth, and gratitude is nothing more than truth.

How can feeling grateful help you financially? Well, the answer is very simple. Being grateful helps you to focus on the things that are working in your business. You will focus on things that make money, which means that you’re going to bolster those things, so people who are grateful find themselves taking the right action. What do I mean by right action? Well, think about it like this: If I am freaked out, pissed off, annoyed, agitated and I’m focused on how nothing is working and it’s not going right, then I’m going to be in a state of fear and doubt. And when I’m in that state, I’m not effective. My brain is not working correctly. I’m not communicating powerful and positive things. I’m not able to take actions in a way that are going to get extremely positive results.
When I’m aligned with the truth, and the truth is that life is good and that there are many aspects of my life that are working, then I say the right thing. I’m in the right place at the right time. Amazing things come out of my mouth and I’m able to make money. Will gratitude help you financially? Absolutely, yes.
