One of my life coaching tips that creates profound states of happiness and peace is to declare everything perfect. At first, many of my clients push back and say, “That’s just ignorant!”. My response is always the same:
The Drunk Monkey in your head is designed to see changes and differences. This is a powerful survival mechanism that has allowed our species to rise to the top of the food chain by understanding what isn’t good for us, in advance (without even getting near it). The Drunk Monkey (your mind) examines your world, compares everything to what is known and decides if something is good or bad in order to keep you away from what is bad.
Not Declaring Life Perfect is Actually Ignorant
Declaring something good, bad, right or wrong is just an opinion. Opinions are generated by observing the world, deciding if something is good or bad and declaring it so. In other words, opinions are just made up phantoms of thinking, not the truth. Just because you have an opinion about something doesn’t make it right.
So why is having an opinion that life is not perfect ignorant? Because declaring something “wrong” has a negative impact on your relationship to it. When you declare something wrong, you are stuck and you limit your options. Opinions don’t allow you to choose your actions, opinions create reactions. When you are in reaction, you are not living a life of choice.
When you learn to ignore your reactions to life, you take control of your choices and ultimately your destiny.

I have been struggling all my life with the question of why I am here. Sometimes it has been disabling. I’ve figured things out slowly and had come to a plateau in my understanding and belief system, but still had unanswered questions about life, “God” and existence.
I had a huge epiphany about 9 months ago that answered all my unanswered questions.
Life is all about the experience.
Nothing is good or bad, people just label them that way and we’ve been conditioned to think that way. I came to understand that my “job” here is to have as many experiences as possible before I check out.
I figure, why not aim toward the ones that provide love, joy, happiness and laughter, but accept what comes along in the process and know that it is just another experience to put in my pocket?
The trick for me is to clarify what actions to take to generate those experiences more often than not.
Maybe it will be the continual playing of the Contribution Game.
I am glad you came upon this answer Dane because I totally agree. I hope you enjoy as many experiences as you possibly can. One action that I think would help you generate more experiences is to play the perfect game:
Whatever is offered, take it. Whatever is suggested, do it. What ever happens, declare it perfect
Enjoy the journey.
