Is happiness your destiny? (video)

If you are reading this, then the answer is yes.  Only people interested in happiness would even take the time to read something with that headline.  Isn’t that an interesting way to think about it.  If you are seeking information on being happy, then you will find happiness.  It’s your destiny.  Think about it like this: if you were destined to be a great golfer, then you would be reading about golf.  You seek information on happiness so happiness is your future.

So let’s see if we can make happiness a “now” for you.  My specialty is helping people to be happy regardless of the circumstances.  Here is a video about The Drunk Monkey that will help you get to happiness quick.  I believe one of the fastest ways to happiness is understanding The Drunk Monkey.

How do I achieve the big dream?

Clients often ask me “How do I achieve the big dream?”  My answer is not usually something they understand right way. “Your life is as big as you are flexible”.  Flexibility is one of the essential ingredients in achieving big dreams.

Why?

Big dreams represent big changes.  This means you must be able to be comfortable tearing your life apart, confronting what doesn’t work, dealing with people’s broken expectations, and failing.  The more you can roll with it and keep moving forward, the more likely you will manifest the big dream.

After coaching people to achieve success for years, I finally let go of teaching people “how” to achieve and started helping them remove the barriers to success.  You already know what to do, you just don’t do it.  Why?  Because of inflexibility.  Inability to deal with massive change.

Here’s a video about learning to thrive in times of change.  There will be 9 of these videos so stand by.

Embrace the Breakdown

Breakdown is good.  In the Inspired Action Coaching Program we celebrate failure, stress, breakdowns and disasters.  I can tell you with absolute certainty that breakdown is the beginning of breakthrough.  Destruction is the beginning of creation.  If you are in the middle of a breakdown, something good is about to happen.

Warning:  Most people prolong the breakdown by avoiding it, denying it or getting mad about it.  What you resist will persist.  Enjoy the breakdown.  Know that on the other side is the incredible ecstasy of breakthrough.

Consider this idea: Success is a series of well-managed breakdowns.  Most people believe that when you become successful that your life will be dreamy and perfect.  Quite the opposite, my friend.  Success means lots of new things and lots more to manage.  Success brings massive breakdown and failure to manage.  The more successful you are, the more balls you have in the air.

If you are in breakdown, you are doing something right.  You are pushing against your old life and creating something new.  Embrace it.

14 Questions to ask yourself about 2009

Here is what the coaches and I are asking our Inspired Action Coaching clients to consider for 09:

What if you declared ’08 a learning year and ’09 an earning year?

What did you learn in 08 that will benefit you in ’09?

Therefore in ’09…

What are you committed to?

Who are you going to be in ’09?

What are your objectives?

What are your specific measurable results?

What do you want to work on?

What do you want to be held accountable to?

What structures are you going to put in place to make sure you implement the changes?

What will your schedule be like?

What promises are you going to make?

What aspects of your life can you get rid of to reduce guilt and obligation?

What are the new disciplines you are going to develop?

What new systems need to be in place?

Are you going to be the creator of your experience or the victim of your circumstances?

19 ways your inner child messes up your life (part 4)

If you live as a child does, you will have a lot of trouble in your life.  You will find yourself feeling unsatisfied and wondering when life is going to turn out.  The ways your inner child messes with your life involve even more hallucinations that your external world will somehow fulfill your internal world.  It will never happen.  Inspired Action Coaching is about creating an inner peace, regardless of the circumstances of your life, and then learning how to use that peaceful energy to create whatever your heart desires.

Let’s look at the last three ways your inner child messes up your life.

17.  Collecting stuff.  The Drunk Monkey believes that more stuff means more life.  By more life, I mean more prestige, more security and more power.  Things do not create any of these effects.  I have seen many clients get the $7,000,000 house and instantly think it is too small or not enough.  Next they are on to the cars, plane and on and on ad infinitum.  What do you think you will accomplish with all your stuff?

18.  Showing off.  It’s all about winning favor and being special for The Drunk Monkey (your mind/survival mechanism).  Apparently The Drunk Monkey believes that if people love and adore it, then it will live longer.  It doesn’t happen and eventually you run out of tricks to show off with.  Then what do you do?  FIND TOOLS TO BE HAPPY NOW.  Good thing you are reading this blog.

19. Petulance. Which means feeling unreasonably irritable or ill-tempered.  Why do we allow ourselves to go down these dark roads?  First of all, no one has ever asked you to question them.  Second, you get so much juice from this kind of behavior.  You get to control people.  You get to manipulate.  You get to be the victim.  All of which messes your life up.

And that does it.  19 ways your inner child messes up your life.  I hope you gained some new awareness from these posts.  If you aren’t in our coaching program, pick up the phone and call us to talk about how we can help you get into a happy, productive and peaceful place now. 877-777-1970 x78
